In 1980 he graduated from Kharkiv National I.P. Kotlyarevsky University of Arts as a puppet theatre actor.
In 2011 he graduated from the theatre director faculty in the same University.
From 1979 to 1981 he worked in Kharkiv Theatre for Young People.
From 1981 to 1983 he worked in Song and Dance Ensemble of the Kyiv Military District.
From 1983 to 1985 - Theatrical ensemble "People and Puppets" of the Kemerovo Philharmonic (director Leonid Khait).
From 1985 to 2018 - actor in the T. G. Shevchenko Kharkiv State Academic Drama Theatre.
From 2001 to 2004 he taught at the Kharkov State Academy of Culture at the department of directing.
From 2004 to 2018 - Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor of Drama acting Department in the National I.P. Kotlyarevsky University of Arts.
Since 2018 he has been working in the Lesya Ukrainka Theatre.
