To mark the 155th anniversary of the birth of Lesya Ukrainka.
“OUR Code #Lesya” is an invitation to see Lesya Ukrainka through the eyes of a new generation.
As if stepping quietly behind the scenes – close, intimate, without distance. Here, her words sound like a private conversation, an inner monologue one can hear alone, when the outside world comes to a halt.
Lesser-known works by Lesya reveal her living presence today. They help us feel vulnerability that is not weakness, and strength that manifests itself gently, softly. These words touch, stay with you, and become your own – an attempt to find inner support when it is lacking in the outside world.
“OUR Code #Lesya” is about the here and now, about a contemporary voice that resonates with everyone who listens. It is a shared search for an intonation in which the classic becomes personal, and every fragment and pause creates a sense of closeness, allowing us to see Lesya as living, modern, and familiar – like a friend sitting beside you, quietly speaking to the world and to you at the same time.
Format: A meeting in the form of a dialogue between generations: Lesya’s drama today.
All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Sternenko Community Charitable Foundation for the Shahedoriz project.
