A small resort town in South Norway is shaken by a scary incident: medicinal water on which the whole resort is based, is contaminated with bacteria and so useless. That fact was discovered by a resort doctor Stockmann who is going to share his knowledge with the resort authorities and public to handle the issues. But the town authorities are not really happy about his brave and progressive ideas for a common good, so they talk over the “solid majority” of town inhabitants by manipulations.
“The majority is never right” bravely says Dr. Stockmann.
The events that happened more than a hundred years ago, are actual in our times.
