Are we truly ready to accept our parents as they are? Can love and freedom coexist without conflict?

At the heart of this story are Abby and Dan, a married couple finally enjoying life alone in their home after their children have moved out. Their newfound peace, however, is shattered when the “mothers” move in – widows seeking comfort and companionship from their grown-up children.

What begins as an act of kindness soon spirals into a chain of hilarious – and at times absurd – situations, where the children’s bedrooms become battlegrounds, the shared bathroom turns into a source of endless arguments, and jealousy, old resentments, and new admirers only add extra “spice” to the chaos of family life.

Yet behind the laughter and farcical moments lies a deeper truth: the fear of ageing and loneliness, the longing to remain needed and loved. Each of the women strives to reclaim her place within the family – and the audience, inevitably, recognises a part of themselves in every one of them.

Olha Havryliuk: We must celebrate life while we still have it! Enjoy it, play, misbehave, drink it to the full – regardless of age or gender. That’s the final, heartfelt lesson: live life to the fullest, love without conditions, and never forget that we are all just children yearning for warmth and affection.
