In The Stone Host, Lesya Ukrainka reimagines the legend of Don Juan, transforming it into a drama about the power of human desire, authority and responsibility. Here, every character longs for something greater: freedom, love, recognition, the right to choose their own path. Yet with every step, they move closer to an inevitable confrontation with the consequences of their own decisions.

There are no easy answers or flawless heroes in this story. Only people striving to be free, to love, and to live by their own principles – even when the price of that choice proves to be unbearably high.
