What may be stronger than burning desire? Nothing... That what Don Juan was thinking wandering from one seduced donna to another. Love and passion led him that way until he occasionally met ambitious Donna Anna. That woman changed Don Juan’s beliefs about happiness and set too high price for letting him be with her. But lovers are never petty. The same as Dolores, Don Juan will not stop if he has to pay for love. And now the statue of the commander (Donna Anna's husband) adorns the cemetery, and the ambitious Donna Anna tries on the commander's cloak on Don Juan, and the royal crown for herself. And now Sganarelle has been sent to invite the Commander for dinner by candlelight, which is arranged by his widow. But thunder struck, the sky split in two, and the heavy steps of the stone giant filled the souls of lovers with an icy wave of fear.

Revenge...

It so happened that Donna Anna remained the last beloved of Don Juan for all ages. Maybe it is the only fact common for all stories about Don Juan told by Moliere, Frisch, Pushkin, and Tsvetaeva. And finally, the story of passion, with no gap between the feelings and benefit, where the woman’s will is the rule for a man, the love story by Lesya Ukrainka. This performance is the fifth theater’s reference to the play of the great Ukrainian poetess after 1939, 1946, 1951, and 1971.
